Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a Talented Team of Trades Staff: Lead and guide a team of Trades professionals to achieve outstanding resident-focused outcomes.
- Drive Service Excellence: Ensure high standards in responsive repairs services while balancing key performance indicators and financial responsibilities.
- Manage Operations: Oversee the operational delivery of a section of the repairs service, ensuring quality and value for money.
- Innovate and Improve: Lead our team, implementing proactive strategies to keep residents safe and healthy.
- Budget Management: Strategically manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and value for money.
Person Specification:
- Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of responsive repairs and planned maintenance, including BS8210 standards and building regulations
- Strong supervisory and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop large teams, make informed decisions and take corrective actions during site visits.
- Skilled in interpreting and applying BS8210 standards, contract documents, and health and safety requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce reports, and technical documentation, liaise with tenants, staff, and contractors to resolve complaints and enquiries efficiently
- Proven track record in managing contractor performance, conducting site visits, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Experience in managing financial aspects of operations, including cost monitoring, budget management, and performance reporting.
- Experience in ensuring compliance with contract documents, professional standards, and statutory requirements
