The Repairs and Investment service within the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate, delivers responsive repairs, capital and major works, and all safety and compliance services to our 25,000 Council tenants and leaseholders. We carry out approx. 80,000 repairs a year, and will this year deliver capital programmes of c£30m through a range of contractors. Our repairs service is mainly delivered by our in-house team, with some more specialist services being delivered by external contractors.
As one of London’s largest social landlords, our number one priority and focus is the safety of our tenants and our staff members, and a new Compliance team has been created to bring focus and ownership for the business.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced and professional Electrical Supervisor to form part of this service. You will not just be an expert in your field, but understand that process, procedures and good management are key to keeping people safe within their homes and our buildings.
You will have the ability and task of supporting the Electrical Delivery Manager for the Royal Borough of Greenwich, helping to support the implementation of new IT systems, creating new policies and embedding working practices to ensure we are complying with legislation and regulations.
Your passion for safety will be matched by your structured approach to managing electrical safety within our stock.
The successful candidate will take a supporting role, encouraging innovation and looking for ways to do things better.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT, written and communication skills, being at home communicating with residents, key elected members and stakeholders, building a positive ‘Can-Do’ culture within the service.
