We’re building something bold and brilliant — a brand-new Practice and Workforce Development Team with a clear mission: to elevate practice, empower professionals, and deliver outstanding outcomes for our residents.
We’re looking for a dynamic Workforce Development Lead to join our team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll design, commission, and deliver innovative learning and development initiatives that empower our workforce and improve outcomes for residents.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of the Health and Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy
- Commission and design learning interventions that reflect statutory requirements, best practice, and local priorities
- Contribute to transformation projects including Digital Health & Care Technology, and Safeguarding Adults Board priorities
- Promote inclusive career pathways and learning through the Social Care Practice Academy
- Collaborate across services—HR, Public Health, Mental Health, Commissioning, and more—to ensure a joined-up approach to workforce development
- Use staff and resident feedback, internal reviews, and statutory reviews to shape training needs and drive continuous improvement

- Proven experience in adult social care and workforce development
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- A commitment to anti-racist practice
- The ability to embrace change and opportunities to develop staff
- Experience managing staff and budgets, with a focus on value for money
