Street Services provide a highly visible frontline service to all the borough’s residents, business and visitors from sweeping roads to collecting household and businesses waste bins. This vital frontline service has a huge impact on residents, the community and cleanliness of the public realm.

We are looking for motivated individuals to apply for our Street Cleansing Team Leader roles

In this safety critical role, you will be responsible for:

  • A team of Barrow Sweeping Operatives
  • Emptying Street litter bins and removing bags
  • Sweeping shop fronts
  • Removing fly tips

You will be working within an area-based location between the hours of 6am and 8pm, Monday to Friday including weekends and Bank Holidays on a Contractual overtime basis.

Salary details £40,547 - £41,870 (Includes London weighting, contractual overtime IVA and Laundry allowance).
