Reception Class Teacher – Thorntree Primary School

Salary: MPS

Contract: Full time/Part time, permanent

Start date: September/October 2026

We are a popular one-form entry school in the heart of a supportive community with well-behaved, inspired children and friendly, hardworking staff. We are fully inclusive and strive to find the best in every child, helping them to reach their full potential. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic class teacher to join us from September/October 2026. Part time applicants welcome.

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver an inspiring, child-centred EYFS curriculum
Provide continuous provision and champion outdoor learning
Use effective observation and assessment to meet the needs of all learners
Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, fostering independence
Manage a Reception classroom with warmth and skill
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
