Principal Public Health Manager (Population Health Management)

Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to the health outcomes of the population of Greenwich. This is a key role in Public Health and Wellbeing team with the responsibility for leading a healthcare public health programme, influencing the work of, General Practices, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and other partners to build a collaborative approach to prevention within healthcare settings.

This role will include overseeing diverse programmes which includes improving cancer screening uptake, CVD and diabetes prevention, NHS Health Checks and behaviour change programmes. The postholder will lead the implementation of a health equity approach within healthcare settings, delivering data led multi-agency programmes, evaluating impact and applying learning to help shape and influence the future design of local services, contracts and policies.

The postholder will require a high level of understanding about the complexity of health inequalities and the role of population health management to support better outcomes for residents and specialist skills and knowledge relating healthcare public health.

As a member of the Public Health and Wellbeing Senior Leadership team, the postholder will report to the Associate Director of Inclusion and Neighbourhood Development whilst working closely with the Consultant in Public Health.

This role requires a Basic DBS.
