Exciting opportunity to join the Autism Outreach Service delivering specialist autism support to our mainstream schools

Location: Based at SEND Outreach Services, Discovery, Battery Road SE28       

Contract type: Fixed term for ONE year but with a likely extension         

Hours per week: 35 (term time only)

Autism Outreach Worker Early Years KS1/KS2:  

Scale 6: £34,416 to £35,448 term time only, salary pro rata

An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Autism practitioner who wants to work in a highly valued team, making a difference to the life chances of children with autism and social communication needs predominantly in mainstream secondary, primary and nursery school settings. The Team works alongside mainstream staff: developing capacity in settings, and sharing specialist strategies and expertise, through collaborative planning with the child, their family and other professionals.

The Autism Outreach Service consists of 23 team members, including 5 Specialist teachers, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy, working with children with autism in nursery/school settings.
