Housing Procurement Officer

Part Time: 17.5 pro rata 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Procurement Service to help prevent homelessness.

 

As a Housing Procurement Officer, you’ll play a key role in transforming the live residents in Greenwich by securing good-quality private rented homes. 

 

The role focuses on sourcing, inspections, negotiating - proactively increasing housing supply by securing properties through effective partnerships with landlords, agents, developers, and external providers to ensure a sufficient supply of quality, cost-effective housing.

The Housing Procurement Officer will also negotiate leasing arrangements, ensure property standards are met, and contribute to sustainable portfolio growth within the organisation’s social housing objectives and tenant needs.

 

Are you someone who loves challenges, enjoys meeting people, and isn’t afraid to knock on doors, or pick up the phone? 

 

If you’re driven, persuasive, with a bundle of enthusiasm, excellent negotiation skills and enjoys going the extra mile then this could be the job for you.  You will have experience of working independently and meeting demanding targets within a fast-paced environment .

 

Successful candidates will have a knowledge of homelessness and housing within the private sector, relevant Health and Safety legislation, tenancy, property standard requirements and experience of calculating welfare benefits is required.

 

Role requires Standard DBS

Driving license preferred but not essential.
