Job Opportunity: Financials Replacement – Support Officer 

Fixed-Term Contract / Secondment - 12 months

Could you support the delivery of a major financial systems transformation at the Royal Borough of Greenwich?

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Support Officer to join the Financial System Replacement Project within the Resources Directorate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple workstreams, supporting the delivery of a major financial systems upgrade that will shape the future of financial operations at the Royal Borough of Greenwich. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Supporting Stream Leads and Programme Delivery Leads across multiple workstreams, contributing to the successful delivery of key project milestones.
  • Assisting with user testing, documentation, and data-related activities, including reconciliation of financial records and validation during system migration.
  • Helping coordinate system and user setup tasks, including access management, environment preparation, and permissions during testing and deployment.
  • Supporting business change activities such as stakeholder engagement, communications, training logistics, and process mapping.
  • Providing general project support to senior managers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

What we’re looking for: 

  • A solid understanding of the role financial systems play in supporting organisational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges and move between workstreams as needed.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in managing documentation, scheduling, and user support.
