If so, this new role in the Integrated Commissioning Team in Children’s Services could be for you! We are recruiting for a Contracts and Payments Support Officer to join our team. This post is being offered as a 12-18 month fixed term or secondment opportunity for internal candidates. The post holder will work as part of the Integrated Commissioning Team and will have the opportunity to play a key role in the administration and support for some of our largest contracts that deliver services to families right across the borough as well as to learn about personalised commissioning for children in our care.
You will provide proactive, comprehensive and effective business and administrative support to the commissioning teams with all aspects of contracting and monitoring of contracts and other agreements. The tasks will include, but not limited to contract document management, contract data verification, raising of purchase orders, checking and processing of invoices and liaison with commissioned providers. The postholder will work supporting commissioners across the team, who collectively commission services for children and families across the Borough. This includes contracts spanning a range of sectors and services, with values from a few thousand up to several million. You would need to have advanced skills in using MS office suite (including Outlook and Teams) and have a high attention to detail when working with complex data. A ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised, is essential.
