Job Introduction


Qualified Climbing Arborist (Permanent, 36 hours per week)

Scale 5 - £32,535 to £33,987 (plus Scarcity Payment, 2 x IVA allowances, plus 1 hour contracted overtime per week)

 

Greenwich Values its many trees and takes pride in caring for them and ensuring they are maintained to a high standard for the benefit and enjoyment of all.

In order to assist us in this important role, we are seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist who has NPTC qualifications in chainsaw use and climbing operation units. You must also be experienced in all aspects of arboricultural work and have a good knowledge of the identification of tree species.

Your duties include the maintenance and making safe of all trees anywhere in the Borough using the relevant tools and equipment and ensuring the safety of the public and the workforce at all times.

 

24 hour emergency stand-by duty may be required each month for one week, a payment of £77.30 will be paid for this period.

 

A full driving licence (B+E) or ability to obtain one is required.
