1:1 & small group Learning Support Assistant required for as soon as possible
Fixed term for 1 year (funding linked). Job share can be considered for the right candidates.

We are looking for a highly committed, outstanding Learning Support Assistant to work with children who are Autistic, have complex learning needs, medical needs such as epilepsy and who can present with challenging behaviour. The post holder will support these children across the school and in our school-based provision. The post holder will work for 32.5 hours per week (8:30am– 3:30pm), 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week).
We are also looking for someone to work with individual children in our after school club and therefore there is scope for longer hours.
Salary scale 2.3 £28,617 (FTE) actual £26,572
If you:
- have experience of working in a busy classroom environment where no two days are the same
- have experience of working with children with complex needs including autism and ADHD
- have experience of working with children with epilepsy or other medical needs
- have experience of working with children presenting with challenging behaviour
- are organised and efficient
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- are able to use your own initiative
- have high expectations of self
