KS1 class teacher (maternity leave) advert
• Salary: MPS
• Contract type: fixed term (maternity leave cover)
• Start date: Monday 2nd February 2026 - Friday 17th July 2026 (there is some flexibility on the start date)
Are you passionate about teaching and learning and motivated to give children fantastic experiences and support them to achieve their very best? We are looking for a brilliant class teacher to join our enthusiastic and committed team and cover one of our KS1 classes while the teacher is on maternity leave.
The successful candidate will:
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about teaching, learning and curriculum design
• Have knowledge and experience of teaching phonics and early reading• Value and demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
• Be actively engaged with the current educational landscape, research and committed to developing their practice
• Understand how to build and manage positive relationships with children, families and the whole Henwick and Ambition Federation community
• Be ready and excited for the next step of their teaching journey
